Used Lockhart fin-style oil cooler designed for upper/side mount installs on Harley-Davidson big twins and Sportsters. Classic Lockhart compact core with side brackets—great for FXR/Dyna street builds, vintage style customs, or additional cooling on Touring/Softail setups. Condition is good used with normal cosmetic wear; no crushed fins or leaks observed on visual inspection.

  • Dyna (1991–2017): side frame downtube or crash-bar mount with simple L-bracket.

  • Evo Softail (1984–1999) & Twin Cam Softail (2000–2017): side mount with fabricated tab or frame clamp.

  • Touring (1980s–2008): upper crash-bar/downtube side mount; avoids fairing interference.

  • Sportster (1986–2003 / 2004–2020): downtube side mount; check tank and header clearance.

    (Lockhart is generally “universal” — match bracket spacing, hose routing, and port type to your bike.)

 


Install Tips

 

  • Mount with airflow exposure; avoid tire spray/rock impact zones.

  • Use rubber isolators or grommets to reduce vibration.

  • Flush cooler before use (solvent, then blow dry) to protect engine.

  • Target oil temp 200–230°F; over-cooling can be avoided with a thermostat sandwich plate or bypass, if desired.

 


Condition Notes

 

  • Used, good overall; light surface wear on brackets and fins from normal use.

  • No cracks or obvious leaks found on visual check.
