OEM Harley-Davidson 5-Speed Transmission Gears & Trap Door Set (Part #35086-99) for 1999–2005 Softail models. The assembly was treated with Evapo-Rust to remove corrosion, which left some blackened outlines on the gears and surfaces. This is not dirt or residue — it’s a normal result of rust removal, and no particles will end up in your transmission.


If desired, these outlines can be cleaned further with a wire wheel or Dremel tool, but it’s purely cosmetic. The gears are in very good shape overall, with no broken teeth or cracks, just some light pitting from rust in small areas. Price reflects condition.
