Description

This is a used, exceptionally clean V-Twin Manufacturing aftermarket replacement 5-speed transmission countershaft gear cluster assembly. Engineered as a direct mechanical drop-in for 5-speed Big Twin gearboxes spanning 1980 to 2006, this unit showcases V-Twin’s signature flat matte silver finish with zero surface polish or dark chemical coatings.
The geartrain cluster has been completely cleared of residual oil, bench scrubbed, and inspected under intense store workshop lighting. Every gear wheel tooth face—from the small 1st gear cog up to 5th—exhibits excellent structural integrity, fully free from under-cut shearing, deep contact pitting, or micro-cracks. The square shift-dog engagement windows are sharp and unrounded to prevent jumping out of gear under heavy acceleration load. The bearing journals are smooth and ungrooved, and the end retention threads are crisp and unstripped. It is an excellent, cost-effective replacement option for repairing a transmission case with a stripped or whining countershaft gear stack.
