Up for sale is a genuine factory Harley-Davidson 4-speed transmission internal gear repair bundle. Removed directly from a classic Big Twin Shovelhead gearbox, this is an authentic US-made heavy-duty steel component grouping. This kit includes four slider engagement gears, the dual-tiered splined main gear hub, and one matching factory shifting fork.
Avoid cheap unbranded reproduction transmission gears that suffer from soft steel heat-treating, which leads to rapid tooth shearing or rounded engagement corners under high engine torque. The Gear Teeth: All individual gear teeth profiles are structurally sound, sharp, and true, entirely free from broken steps, heavy face pitting, or chipped edges.

Engagement Dogs: The face-engagement locking dogs and matching recessed pockets are clean with crisp, square tracking corners (not heavily rounded out or wallowed from missed shifts).

Shifting Fork: The cast steel shifter fork is perfectly straight, true, and free of crash twists or hairline stress cracks. The tracking pads show normal polished friction marks from normal use but retain plenty of material thickness.

Splines: Internal hub splines are deep and clear. Components display typical superficial oil coloration and light cosmetic storage oxidation (as clearly detailed in the images), but they are fully ready to clean, oil, and assemble into a working gearbox.
