Up for sale is a genuine, Harley-Davidson Factory OEM 5-Speed Big Twin Starter Drive Jackshaft and Pinion Assembly (Factory Reference Number: #31482-89). Removed carefully from a clean bike, these original primary starting components are preserved in excellent used garage condition. Unlike modern cheap, soft reproduction drivetrain components, this authentic factory assembly utilizes high-grade, heat-treated steel to prevent spline rounding or alignment binding during intense high-compression cold starting loops. The center extension spring holds excellent linear tension parameters, and the internal couplings slide smoothly with zero binding. Main tracking splines are square and clean. Staged in light storage oil to preserve against warehouse humidity.
