A clean microfiber towel
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Prep the Fender Surface
- Remove your existing license plate and any stock plastic backing brackets.
- Clean the fender paint thoroughly under the mounting zone to remove dirt, grit, and road grime.
-
Tip: Placing a small piece of thin rubber trim or electrical tape on the back of the bracket where it contacts the fender can help protect your custom paint from scuffing.
2. Install the Chrome Bracket Block
- Line up the blocky base of the chrome bracket with the standard three-hole mounting configuration on your rear fender.
- Take the mounting bolts included in the bottom pouch of the packaging.
- Pass the bolts through the bracket base from the outside, pushing them straight through the fender holes.
-
From underneath the rear fender, thread on the washers and hex nuts. Apply a drop of Blue Loctite to the threads and snug them down using your wrench. Do not overtighten to avoid dimpling the fender metal.
3. Mount the License Plate
- Once the chrome block is firmly secured to the motorcycle, notice the two pre-drilled holes on the wide, triangular "tombstone" face of the bracket.
- Align your license plate holes with these two upper bracket ports.
-
Use standard license plate screws to secure the plate directly to the face of the chrome bracket.
